The Romans held memory techniques in the highest regard and one of the
most popular mnemonics was the Memory Room. The Memory Room involves
both sides
of the brain as it combines order and precision with imagination and creativity.
It combines linking and pegging memory systems by allowing an unlimited number
of objects in the room. Each object has a specific location or loci and functions
as a link to items that wished to be remembered. Using images stored in the
image archive, assign a meaning to each object and then position them in
specific areas within the room.
