I observe, therefore I am.

The Ancient Greeks and Romans attached a special importance to images, they held the view that sight was superior to other senses, which is why they relied on it for memorising their speeches using methods such as loci. However, images cannot be memorised without observation. To observe the Jemnemonics illustrations one after the other, it is useful to be able to exercise three types of observation simultaneously; this is known as the A3 method.

  • The Accountant – scanning and registering all quantifiable information, fixing the management of space and the organisation of the elements well in the memory.
  • The Artist – photographing shapes, identifying graphic relationships, harmonies or anachronisms and intersecting elements.
  • The Analyst – observing minute details and any potential anomalies.
